Very easy to assemble, managed to 80% myself. As we were restricted to 2.5 meters in width the only Pergola I could find was the Shadow pergola. Just a shame that there is no option to purchase sun blinds on the two 3M long sides, doesn't make sense that you don't have a standard sun blind that would fit all your 3M pergolas. Looks great in the garden and overall we are very happy with it. One other thing that I noticed is that I have extra plastic holders for the louveres, I assume that this may be a weak point of the design and I will have to replace in the future as the holder are exposed to the elements.

I bought the 4.0/3.0 Shadow Pergola. I was a little wary as it was at the cheaper end of the range on the site, but trusted the reviews. I’ve since erected the Pergola myself this weekend. I’m very impressed with the whole product, it’s well made, robust, sturdy and very well finished. The install was simple, well explained and the kit was extremely well presented for the build, even with a toolbox of parts rather than just loose bags of bits. Numbered and labelled this was easy to understand. I’d say you can build about 80% of this yourself before you’ll need the help of a second person, but once you get a flow on it’s straight forward. Well worth the money, fully recommend. My tip to help would be, if you are butting up against a building, make sure you’ve secured the louvres on the wall side with the screws before fixing the legs to the floor, as you won’t be able to screw them in otherwise.

Product wise, can’t fault it. The instructions were easy to follow, my dad and I put it together and so is doable but three would make it much easier. You’ll need step ladders to work at the height. We purchased extendable curtain poles to enable us to add screens to it. There’s not a lot on the market but we found some on Amazon that then fitted well, albeit they were more tailored to a gazebo. We used magnetic hooks to string solar LED lights and placed the stalks of that in one of the corner gutter holes on the top without needing to fix it and it’s stayed there nicely. So far all good :) Delivery wise - there was a little miscommunication where I said that I wasn’t able to be in to accept delivery. Unhelpfully my delivery message was sent to me 10 minutes after their phone lines closed which meant I could then not contact them and their opening time in the morning meant I could not call them as I was at work. Luckily my dad was around to accept the delivery. Other than that, all ok.
