“This works very well. After just one lot of heavy rain overnight, the butt is completely full, water level to the top. So I have removed some into a watering can, ready to water a pot when dry. When the butt is full, water flows out quickly. However, water trickles out very slowly if the butt is nearly empty. This is due to water pressure, so it is useful to be aware of this.”

“The Water Butt arrived within days of placing the order. Can be a little tricky cutting into a drain dripe if you're not too handy with tools. Does everything it should do but the anti child lock lid clasp is so stiff it's almost anti adult proof as well. I wouldn't say we've had a wet March/ April but fitted it 3 wks ago and it's full - 50 gallons collected from a side extension - not even the main roof guttering. Just shows how much water is wasted down the drain and why we should all be using water butts, preferably made in GB. I'm now thinking I should have bought two with a connecting pipe!”
