“Nice quality versatile doors apart from a few issues. The doors themselves are of a good quality but you’ve given white plastic screw caps that look cheap against the nice doors. Also the two door hinges; the bottom one is metal but the top is a plastic black hinge that stands out on the white door. If you where if focus on theses and improve the product you would definitely get a 5 star rating.”

Regarding the points you've raised, we appreciate the detail. The white cover caps are included as part of our free installation kit; as alternative frame fixings may be required depending on the aperture, we provide the caps as an option for those who wish to use them with the fixings we supply. Some joiners choose to create their own matching timber plugs during the frame drilling process, or position the frame fixings so they are hidden by the doors when closed. In terms of the hardware, as our bifold doors are bottom-weighted for smooth operation, we use an external-grade metal block at the base for maximum stability. All our hinges are indeed metal; however, the top pivot block is a black, concealed component designed to sit inside the frame head. “We are very pleased with our folding doors, I wanted doors that allows the room to feel open but also closed off when needed. They are very well made doors. When closed keep sound and heat in the room well. Carpenter installed with no issues. Vufold couldn't have been more helpful with my many questions before purchasing. Overall experience has been great throughout. ”

“Nice looking doors when fitted with the added benefit of folding around the wall when in open position to give a neat and tidy finish. There's is one negative and that is the frame is supplied with cheap plastic screw covers which doesn't give the frame a good flush finish. Me and the carpenter agree these should of been white wooden plugs to tap in and give a flush finish. I hope Vufold takes this criticism on board and in future changes the screw covers to plugs.”

“These are really cleverly designed doors which do exactly what I hoped they would - fold flat behind the wall, completely out of sight. They actually take up much less room folded that I anticipated. Being able to have only one door closed is a real bonus. The only thing I’m disappointed in is the handles. With handles on, the doors won’t fold fully flat which seems such a waste of the clever design. I chose to buy them without handles and am fitting recessed handles so minimise the space they took up and how they look.”

We are delighted to hear that our doors have exceeded your expectations in both design and operation 👍 We appreciate your honest feedback regarding the handles. The ‘fold flat’ door design is focussed on the doors being able to fold flat back onto the wall as opposed to completely flat onto the adjoining door. We understand your disappointment and agree fitting a standard handle doesn't allow the access door to fold completely flat, however; we do offer a catch kit that enables the doors to be held securely in place should a standard handle be fitted. Supplying the door with the spindle and latch pre-machined allows our customer to choose the right handle to meet their own personal needs, either from our selection of handles or by sourcing their own. Pre-machining for a specific handle would limit our customers options. We are pleased to hear you found a solution to what you are trying to achieve. Many thanks again for your review.
