“The doors are extremely good and would have got a 5-star rating but for one important item: they wood is unfinished. I knew this at the time of purchase but didn't know the recommended varnish requires at least 16 hours between coats and it needs three coats ... which we weren't clear about. So this needs at least three days preparation before the installation ... if you can get someone three days in a row (we couldn't so took over a week). It would be better to charge a little more and provide pre-finished wood using the recommended varnish. Definitely something you need to consider if the additional cost and time was as big a pain as it was for us. But the doors are 5-star in every other respect.”

Supplying them unfinished gives customers complete flexibility and control over the final look to suit their own taste and home. We include recommendations for finishing products to help save customers the time and hassle of searching for suitable options, and these are based on feedback from customers who have been very happy with their finished results over time. “Ordered this door set due to the fact that it came with a bottom track as most now on the market come without. The door set was delivered a few days after ordering with good communication from the delivery company. Unpacking revealed a high quality bifold door set with stainless steel furniture. The door set looked even better once it had been varnished before installation which was performed by our builder (he too was impressed with the doors). Due to the high quality hanging rollers, hinges and bottom track, the bifolds are very easy to move and very little movement when closed due to the locks and draught seals.”

“It's brilliant! Really good quality doors and hardware. The preparation given to the doors made them easy to install: I'm not a strong person but the design made it easy enough for me to fit completely on my own! Preparation (varnishing) takes a bit of time but if a jobs worth doing..... Had one problem in that the door handles I purchased from Vufold had marks on that I couldn't remove. I called, sent photos as requested and received replacement within 2 days! So all in all delighted with my purchase and would thoroughly recommend Vufold.”

“Good quality doors. Was let down in the packaging. Where the frame had been packed it’s allowed some discolouration to the frame (potentially exposed to sun light?). This has became worse upon varnishing them. Would suggest they are all either all covered in the clear film or not used at all to prevent this. Frame now looks like blocks of alternative shades”
