The description of each program the photos and step by step process of programs is what I liked about website. The pre departure information was excellent. I loved the program. The kids and the staff at the kids center were very friendly. The highlight was experiencing new culture which is different from my own country. First volunteering experience and first experience of working with children. It gave me the understand that I want to help/teach children in the future and make a change in the world. The coordinators were very helpful and friendly. Accommodation and meals were nice. No complaints. Yes I will surely recommend Volunteering Solutions to anyone who wants to volunteer abroad.

The programs on the website were classified by country and were easy to find and choose from. The pre-departure booklet was useful and contained all the information which was needed. Staff was also very helpful and prompt in their responses. I not only enjoyed my program placement a lot but can also say that have learned and understood myself during my volunteer work. The main highlight of my volunteer experience and my trip is work with street children that was very exciting interesting and educational. I realized that there is someone in the world who really need help more than I had thought. The visit to Akshardham temple was fascinating as well. The coordinator and staff were very helpful knowledgeable and professional. The accommodation was convenient and comfortable. Meals were good tasty and healthy. Yes I would surely recommend Volunteering Solutions to people.

The pre departure booklet was very helpful. It was overall a very very good experience. We learned a lot about the way of life in India and about the education of the children. All children were very nice and open minded. The staff were very nice and helped us whenever we had questions or problems. The accommodation we stayed at was very nice and it was very good that we stayed directly at the project. The meals we got were very good. We always felt safe in the project all the time. I would surely recommend Volunteering Solutions to my friends and family as it is a very good organization to volunteer with.

The pre departure booklet was very helpful. The children home was a great peaceful place the staff was very nice and helpful and the kids are well educated and wonderful. It s a really good place to volunteer because everybody cares about you and wants you to be happy. It was a real good experience and I learned a lot about India and their people. The accommodation we stayed in was directly in the project which was very good. The itself was good everything was there what you need (western standard toilets too). The meals were good very good We got different Indian dishes and always enjoyed food. We always felt safe at the project and were always near the children. I would surely recommend Volunteering Solutions to my friends and family as it is a very good organization to volunteer with.

What areas did you like about our website? 1. Clear information 2. Easy to understand 3. Details of what was included/not included in the pricing. How did you find the pre departure booklet given to you and the service of the staff in regards to answering your questions and helping you prepare? Both the booklet and staff support were excellent. My emails were answered very promptly and contained all the information I wanted. This was important as it set the scene and let me know I was dealing with a professional organization that provided quality customer service. Did you enjoy working at your project / placement? Yes definitely. The teaching in the school was not as rewarding as I had anticipated. The children were great but the teachers did not take any interest in me or the children. In the afternoons on Monday Wednesday and Friday I had the opportunity to work with pre-schoolers at the tea gardens. This was fantastic as I was allowed to communicate and play with the kids in such a way that allowed the kids to be themselves. Despite working with the kids for only 3 weeks I could see my efforts through their learning. Accommodation and meals The accommodation was more than adequate. My room was clean and tidy the bed comfortable and I was made to feel very welcome by Bobby and Pratima. Meals were also very enjoyable. The staple diet of rice chapattis and dal were supplemented with vegetables salad soup and occasionally dessert. The food was tasty and nourishing. Coordinator In Palampur Bobby and Amit were fantastic. They provided a safe environment and took time to answer my questions about India its culture and history. Bobby made me feel very welcome on my arrival and opened up his house to me. Both Bobby and Amit are professional but also take time to get to know each volunteer personally. I would have no hesitation in returning to Palampur with them as my coordinators. This whole experience has been more than I expected. India has captured my heart. What was the highlight of your volunteering experience and your trip? 1. Delhi - sightseeing day visiting Qutub Minar Lotus Temple Humayun&rsquo s Tomb Gandhi Smriti. 2. Agra &ndash the Taj Mahal is breathtaking. Pictures can never do justice to this marvelous building. 3. Palampur &ndash trekking in the Himalayas teaching pre-schoolers at the Arla tea gardens. Would you recommend this program and our organization to others? yes/no Most definitely. In fact I am currently corresponding with a South African student who is thinking of doing this program. I am sharing my experiences with him and encouraging him to sign up. Any comments and suggestions The 1 week orientation in Delhi can not be underestimated. I personally think this should be compulsory for volunteers who are traveling to India for the first time. I learned so much during this week. The basic Hindi lessons proved very valuable in communicating with the kids and also for generally getting around.

It is in an excellent location. The children are very lovable and it was great to work with them. The highlight of my trip would surely be the children at the childcare program. The trips to Taj Mahal and Dharamsala. I don&#39 t have anything bad to say about my accommodation provided by VS while I was in India. The food was as if I was in a 5-Star hotel. The family made me feel like a part of family. The coordinators were very supportive and always there to help us anytime. I would surely recommend Volunteering Solutions with no hesitation.
