There's no doubt that more bird lovers would feed live mealworms to their garden birds if only they could get over the sight of all those wriggling little creatures. The rewards of feeding live mealworms far outweigh any misgivings you may have about their wiggle, and the benefits to birds - in particular during the nesting and fledgling season - can be spectacular and can make the difference between survival or otherwise.

“Bought a few bags over the summer and the worms are always healthy and plump. Blackbirds and Robins are feasting on these. I sprinkle them on the edges of the lawn first thing in the morning and early evening.”

“Live meal worms were excellent - it was good to receive them in small containers - much easier to handle. Robin quickly found them (and was pleased as far as we could tell - it was disappointed when they had all gone!)”

“While the mealworms were fine. The delivery was terrible. The mealworms came inside a white plastic sac and were only wrapped in newspaper. By the time I got to them, the mealworms were all over the inside of the sac and were a real mess to sort out. I don't think this is an acceptable way to send live animals to people.”

“Good quality product which the birds love. Delivery took a little longer than expected but I think that was down to staff shortages at Royal Mail more than despatch by Vine House Farm. I strongly recommend Vine House Farm for bird and wildlife food”
