“They are absolutly ideal for getting a fire started and can be used as fuel but are best accompanied with logs or larger compressed wood briquettes. Their one major down-side is their sensitivity to moisture - even the slightest amount of moisture will cause them to swell and crumble like a cerial biscuit in milk so they must be stored in a perfectly dry location. When purchasing do check on availability and likely delivery date first and plan a suitable - dry delivery day when you will have enough time to move and put into storage, and allow a few days contingency if the delivery slips. Sadly ours were delivered late so we had to cover those we could not move on the delivery day. Dispite being well covered a little of the heavy rain we had managed to get into the bag and caused a few to crumble to dust.”

Hi Charles, thanks for your feedback, sorry to hear your delivery was late and a few of them crumbled due to the heavy rain. We do wrap them as well as we can and do advise the importance of keeping them dry and off the ground. “These burn really well and the small size means you can shuffle and fit however many you need in your burner. We were told the delivery day and an hour slot. The driver was great and put it in the garage for us.... slightly underestimated how big the delivery was going to be. We're definitely set for the winter”
