“Sometimes things come along and make life sooooo much easier. This fits the GPIO pins and gives access to more usb as well as a very useful lan port. You need to plug the supplied bridge adapter in for it to pass data but it's easy, just go carefully and it's nice and simple. Adding a screen or further hats? It's no problem, just check components don't short on the lan adapter. You can add electrical tape, duct tape or similar to keep things insulated. You can then look in your router for the IP address of the pi or use a network scanner. Brilliant device and exceptionally useful”
“I purchased this for my new zero 2w this is a well made hat i think is the proper term for this type of part. What can i say its very well made and it has 3 usb outputs and a ethernet output in a form factor that's the same as the zero 2w so perfect for stacking and retaining the same form factor with an increase in height so very neat indeed. The item comes in a box with the part in an antistatic bag and the usb cable in there as well from the waveshare company and i know from personell experience the waveshare group do things properly as does the ras pi group so you are getting the best of parts.I think this connects with a small usb micro adapter which i forgot to mention its in the box also and i think this is how it gets its power for the ethernet and usb outlets as i havent set it up yet but i think this is how its done as a photo has kindly been uploaded from another purchaser and it is connected there which is a good way to do it i think as the connection will be solid.So for the price which is very reasonable i give it 5 stars.”
