“The combination of the Pi Zero 2 and the Ethernet and USB HAT makes for an incredibly small and compact computing device with no concessions made on performance. I am using this combination for a real-world job, the remote monitoring of a UPS. So why not 5 stars? Simply because a real-world job requires a real-world case to protect it, and the board configuration really requires a custom case with cutouts for all the ports. I was unable to find such a case despite scouring the market, so only 4 stars have been awarded.”
“How simple could this be to add to a Zero or Zero 2, I'll tell you, very simple.
I use this HAT along with a JuiceBox Zero on my Zero 2 PiHole installation, I prefer the hard-wired solution as opposed to relying on a WiFi signal in my install for stability.
Probably me that didn't realise but be aware that the Pi's IP address does change when using this HAT i.e. for logging in to PiHole admin etc, again, easy to find this out through your routers interface and then make it static..”
“The HAT doesn't fit neatly on the PiZero, the extension pins lean outwards, but that doesn't effect functionality. I have been experiencing wider network problems whilst the HAT is plugged into the network, it seems to work on the device directly, but is causing network crashes more widely.”
