“I know some people have had problems with this hat, in my case connecting to JK BMS and Victron has been flawwless. The only thing that is missing but can be sourced from the GPIO is the GND connection.”
“Connected it with an RS485 laser distance sensor and it worked very easily using simple serial code in Python on a pi zero 2 w. The advantage of this board over others is that the transmit / receive flow control is handled by the board. To get data from the laser sensor a request command had to be sent, the sensor then sends an immediate reply so the flow control was important in my case.”
