“These are great value boards and easy to setup.
I use several of these boards for CAN bus monitoring/control applications on a pi zero to replace an expensive alternative. Programming is with a python library or in C with socket CAN interfaces in the kernel.”
“Works well with my RaspPi Zero, does what it should do to connect to a CAN bus device I am working with.
Now if you had a ModBus equivalent I could drop having to use a usb adapters and USB RS485 ModBus devices connected to my Zeros, which would be a lot neater.
I have a few uses for these in use. FYI, to connect to my Rayleigh RI-D35 Power Meter monitors monitoring my Solar system and how much power we are consuming, and I also use Chirp ModBus soil dampness and temperature devices to control my trickle irrigation system across the garden, etc.”
