Worked out the box! Picamera2/libcamera have tuning files to make the colours work really well and it was very simple! Great product. Using it as a baby monitor

I bought this camera to upgrade my 'BBC Naturewatch' set up for night vision. All fitted together easily and works very well. Looking forward to watching Swift nestlings next year!

This is a neat little unit that gives better video detail and contrast than the basic NoIR v2.1 camera, even though I believe the pixel count is lower (5 MP compared to 8 MP for the NoIR). The product description says the angle of view is 76°, but I reckon it's more like 60°. The two onboard LEDs work pretty well for distances up to a couple of metres. I think the claimed range of 3–8 m is a bit high. For greater range I use a floodlight-type housing holding six LEDs that look the same as these. The LEDs get hot, so I added a large heatsink to my Pi Zero 2 W. I didn't find the unit easy to mount, and that's why I am not giving it five stars.

Camera tiny but reasonable quality. IR lights are on permanently so a relay of some kind needed in series to prevent overheating. Awaiting a method of mounting to test properly.
