Such a nice robust product! I modified a given sparkle script for a loop and a activated a cronjob with a boot start and a daytimer. And its running since last year. Thanks

For anyone looking for the quickest way to get up and running with this, check out my project here: github.com/hogg101/rgbxmastree It's very easy to install on your Pi, even for beginners, and gives you a way to remotely control the RGB Xmas Tree remotely using a web browser. There are lots of pre built sequences to try, a timer function, independent control over the star and the body for speed and brightness.

What a great little tree this is! I had a lot of fun on a side project to use voice control to change colour. Write up and code here: https://github.com/malminhas/raspberrypi-xmastree
