“Having purchased an armoured case for my first Pi which worked fine, i thought I would try the fan version. The fan is very quiet running on a shelf above my head at my computer desk and the unit normally runs at about 35 Deg C compared with 40-45 Deg C for the non fan version. It is not as neat looking because the power leads for the fan stick up 25mm above the case.”
“My PI now lives permanently turned on behind my living room TV, it can barely be heard if at all, and the temps are 30-40° lower. A well made and effective case”
“The basic idea is great: heatsink as a case. The fans are really silent. The pi is kept cool. The only downside is that the GPIO cut is a bit small, and the standard ribbon cable's head does not fit in it. Now I have to connect via individual jumper cables.”
“A must have for your Pi 4. It is silent and looks very cool.
I was getting a bit worried about heat just using the bare board and so I purchased this heatsink/case and it works very well.”
