“The plastic white and fuchsia cases shipped with the Pi are pretty useless from a cooling point of view. IIRC, with the plastic cases the idling temp of the Pi 4 is about 52°C. With the Al Armour cases it's a far more reasonable 37°C. These are great cases, shame the plastic ones are shipped as they're a waste of time IMHO.”
“Nice unit, effective heatsink. Careful with the thermal pads - one of mine broke as I peeled off the cover from the adhesive.
On my Pi 4 / 4Gb, temperatures both idling and driven are significantly reduced.”
