“Bought to replace a standard Pi4 case that needed a little more cooling. Fits perfectly and looks good on my shelf, and has certainly fixed the thermal issues I was having with the standard case. Comes completely unassembled, but pretty straight forward construction, the only thing I got wrong was putting the top on the wrong way round initially, so the fan wasnt directly over the CPU, but just needed to flip it over and flip the fan again and all working well!”
“Wanted a case with ventilation holes, as the Pi was to be installed in my airing cupboard to run a PiAware receiver, - it was in the loft, which can get very hot in Summer. Got the VESA mount, so it could be screwed to the wall.
All works well - temperature sits at about 70 degrees C - slightly higher than I would prefer but well below throttling temperature, and also well below what it could get to in the Summer. Not using the case-mounted fan, as I have a Pimoroni Fan Shim, which can be controlled with software to only come on at higher temperatures - so far, not aware it has come on at all, which is my preferred setup.
Order was delivered next day, even with the "basic" postal price, so good all round.”
“It's a really nice design but if you're heavy handed like me then be careful. I managed to break one of the side panels during assembly. I've got just the top and bottom panels installed which I actually prefer the look of”
“A cool bit of kit! My Pi 4 sits near the TV and the old case I got from Amazon was audible with the TV on loud. This one is almost silent!
Putting the case together was super easy and kind of fun. The transparent design looks great next to my setup and keeps my Home Assistant instance running smoothly. Definitely worth it!”
“Unfortunately one corner of the top acylic case was cracked. Quickly remedied with super glue so no harm done. It looked like the crack occurred during the profile cutting process.”
