It took me about 4 hours to figure out why my pi4 didn't send any signal on HDMI: while it felt like it did, the microHDMI cable didn't make full contact with the Pi due to the hole on the case not letting it fully in. Luckily it's easy enough to remove the side panel and use the rest of the case. I am using Amazon Basics microHDMI cables.

Super sturdy, clever design, powerful cooling for the raspberrypi ‘supercomputer’. Oh, and it’s a great value!

All the screws were plastic. Their threads were almost directly broken. The single lines didn't fit together, so I couldn't mount the case. The recesses for the USB and network ports didn't fit either. Scrap!

Like Pete W., I purchased this case because it was plain and simple and came with a cooling fan. As my RPi4 is not in a cupboard, the fan that originally came with the case was a tad noisy. I, too, am thrilled to have received a replacement, quieter fan, unsolicited, in the post - hats off to you, Jamie Mann, for exemplary service! The fan is so quiet that I had to open the case again to check that it was actually coming on :-) But I have one little niggle - while the case was straightforward to assemble, a couple of the screws holding the top of the case don't seem to engage with the threads in the stand-offs inside the case. See this picture: https://i.imgur.com/QuDBVVL.jpg It's not the screws themselves - I tried switching around with the other two screws, but none of them engage in the two holes highlighted in red, even though they appear to be correctly aligned. Perhaps they're a bit too short? The other two screws engaged correctly and hold the case in place.

I purchased this case because it was simple, nice looking and came with a cooling fan. I had no problem with putting it together. I thought the fan was super loud, it was like a jet engine. Since it was inside by cupboard with my NAS, modem, switch, etc I did not really care so much but even with the doors closed the noise was still noticeable. I arrive from today, open my front door, and find a padded envelope. Inside this envelope was a letter from the Pi Hut owner saying that they read the reviews on this page and noted the complains about the fan noise. They sourced some fan samples and found one that is compatible but runs a bit slower so it doesn't make any noise. They explain how they tested it and that since this model runs slower, it doesn't cool as much as the noisier fan but it's still cooling way below the Pi 4's throttling point. Best of all, THEY SENT A FREE REPLACEMENT FAN with the letter!!!!!!!!! I literally never received such an amazing after-sales service. I did not contact them about it, in fact I did not even write a review until now, and I'm doing it because of the exceptional service. I replaced the old fan with the new one, the Pi is running just fine, it's cooling well, and now no more noise! Thanks Pi Hut, you earned a customer for as long as you guys keep being awesome.

The case is great and all of its parts do assemble very well, but the fan is just amazingly noisy. I'll substitute the fan but I was expecting this not to be a problem from the very start.

The case reflects a rugged simplicity that matches the idea of a Raspberry Pi. Easy to assemble. Only caveat is a noisy fan that I replaced with a brushless model.
