“Easy installation and does what it says on the tin. Initially after installing Ubuntu 23.10 on my Pi 5 the fan ran a max speed all the time. After a quick google and then a sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade followed by a reboot, the fan fell silent, only to spin up as and when needed.
Thoroughly recommended”
“I bought the cooler to use with my Astronomy raspberrypi allsky camera that I am building, it's very efficient and does the job well, time will tell how it performs in the warmer summer months. I will update the review later in the year. The photograph shows the part built Allsky Camera without the clear dome, the cable in the photograph is for power over Ethernet (POE).”
“The parts are good quality and the engineering is precise, so the cooler fits very well with no adjustment required. The contact pads are well positioned and fit snugly onto the on board components for optimum heat transfer. I haven't used it extensively as yet, but performance to date is fine and noise levels are low. The Pi 5 gets quite warm even when 'idling', so I felt the cooler would be a necessary addition to keep things cool as the load increases.”
“There's not much to say about this. It does a good job of keeping my Pi 5 cool and is a nice piece of kit.
As usual, delivery from the PiHut was spectacularly quick (again). Many thanks.”
