“Surprisingly quiet fan. The fan and heatsink keep my Pi5 cooler than my Pi4. Haven't tested under any great stress yet but confident it will do the job.”
“I bought the cooler to use on my new Raspberrypi 5 that will be a stand alone unit for communications
for Humberside Raynet (HR ) they supply radio cover for emergencies and with it been a small unit makes it very portable.”
“Works well, not noisy. When running the stress test it keeps the Pi from thermal throttling. At idle the temperature (vcgencmd) is 46C and fan off. Incidentally, I have a USB desk fan 10cm in diameter with which I cool a stack of different Pi versions and when that is running the Pi 5 idle temp falls to 25C, room temp 18C. So I think that the heatsink portion of the active cooler may benefit from a larger diameter fan if there is a future revision.”
