The Active Cooler for the Raspberry Pi 5 is practically essential if you plan to get the most out of the device. It’s compact, easy to install, and makes a noticeable difference in thermal performance. With the cooler attached, the Pi stays significantly cooler under load, reducing throttling and ensuring consistent performance during demanding tasks. The fan is relatively quiet, making it suitable even for desk setups or quiet environments. Installation is quick and straightforward, especially compared to third-party cooling solutions.

Great product. Without the cooler, my Pi 5 was running between 70–80°C, but after installing it, I can see a clear difference. The maximum temperature I have noticed so far is 44°C.

Got this as an upgrade from the heatsink and fan that came as part of the raspberry pi 5 starter kit. The active cooler by comparison is much more compact compared to the old cooler and it runs at a temperature approximately 10 degrees less than before. New heat sink is also an absolute unit and covers a significant area of the raspberry pi.

Super easy to install, and better than the default fan that lives in the official pi 5 case. One tip: to remove the existing heat sink from the PC board in a stress-free way, Google the "dental floss method" or ask your favourite AI about it.
