“When I first installed the cooler it wasn't working at all even when the heat sink was hot. I decided to turn it by hand and initially it was a bit stiff but freed off quickly and then sprang into life and has been working ever since. I guess there must have been some swarf or the like causing it to stick. It seems to do the job it's designed to do.
The Pi 5 does run pretty hot so I wouldn't run it without some kind of cooling.”
