“The Pi5 was easy to set up using the rpi-imager software tool to create a Micro SD card for OS and user data storage. Once booted the performance seems to be excellent, though I have not run any benchmarks, so this is based on user perception. The only issue I spotted was that it started with a 4k screen resolution, and tiny text on my monitor. I needed another computer to run an internet search to find out how to change the screen resolution - and this process is not very intuitive. I would heartily recommend a Pi5 and I plan to use mine in exploring ARM assembly language for example.”
“It's a hell of a lot faster than my 3's and 4's. I'm playing about with video editing to see if it's possible. And it is, making a YouTube video log of my growing season in my poly tunnel as the subject. First video came out a treat. Having a lot of fun with the 5 and it's well worth every penny.”
“I have used each version of the Raspberry Pi since the day they first appeared as a server, a media machine and a limited desktop machine which I could leave running. I have to say finally that there is nothing limited about the new Raspberry Pi. It will fulfill all of those roles with ease and much more...
So well done to it's makers and thank you for giving us a great little machine at a great price...”
