“Needed something to replace a PI4 that was fast enough to process the H264 HD stream from my nextpvr server and also play the HD stream from my Reolink cameras. The PI5 has software decoding for H264 but it's more than capable and is way faster than the 4 with hardware decoding.”

Video connectivity can be fiddly, particularly the smaller DSI cable link and hdmi signal strength but overall this builds significantly on the Pi4, particularly in performance.
Would benefit from addition of USB-C port(s).”
