“Bought the Raspberry Pi 5 for my husband for his birthday to add to his collection of several others. He tells me they all have a specific use! Delivery was fast and item came well packaged. I can't comment on the item itself as I haven't a clue, but I do have a happy husband, so 5 stars all round!”
“Wow, where to start?!!? I'm using this for a Batocera setup and it really is perfect. I got the 8gb version as I wanted to future proof my purchase and I hit the jackpot, no need to overclock anything and it just works. I did add the Aluminium Armour Dual-Fan Heatsink Case to my Pi5 (see my other review) and this really helped, just looks so sleek, runs so quick and I'm very impressed. Everything about it is just better than a Pi4 (my previous Batocera setup), power on button (at last!), seperate socket for the fan, it just doesn't get any easier. I really like the Pi5, for many applications it will work, plus The PiHut always deliver when they say they will, never fails. If you have some heavy projects you are working on that require some extra oooommmfff and you need to simply, yet convenient on button and additional features that the Pi5 has, then get yourself a Pi5 immediatly. You won't regret it at all.”
“Great Pi! I am using it for a full stack web server with Rails, Puma, Nginx, and Postgres and it runs very well. Enclosed in a backpack with its own wifi access point, it hasn't topped 65C yet even on a hot day. I had to fiddle with some settings to enable an external SSD, running all this with Gentoo requires a little manual tweaking. On average it is drawing 3.5 to 4.5 Watts max. My battery (Alogic) could drive it for more than 20 hours. Much better than expected!”
“Great products and pricing from PiHut.
Very swift delivery and reputable delivery conpany.
Pi 5 is definitely a grat piece of kit at the right price, loads of addons available and software to play/learn with. Internet OS download makes getting started easier than ever.”
“Super piece of equipment, except the USB2 ports were almost impossible to use initially. It took about two dozen insertions of Sandisk and Kingston USB pens efore they freed up. The PI5 was being used with the Neo5 NVME case, and needed the USB to set up the system. A pity, as the rest was excellent.”
