“Ordered a replacement for my Pi5 as I mistakenly thought it was deceased. Turned out to be a defective micro USB cable (no video signal).
I have plans for the extra Pi5 which include an upgrade to NMVe and a compatible case (with active cooling). Pi5 is superb. This is the cheap computer that was required during the pandemic when so many school kids were learning from home.”
“The Raspberry Pi5 has a PCI express connection and so can make proper use of of an SSD and so I purshased a Raspberry Pi 5 and an SSD kit to go with it. The end result is a very neat and reasonably fast desktop computer that will do everything I need on a day to day basis without all that 'Please Wait....' nonsense that Windows machines suffer from. It will boot in exactly half the time of my existing Raspberry Pi 400 (another great machine) using a USB SSD boot drive.”
