“Made my ESP8266 and 32s redundant as they are so much easier to programme in MicroPython and compiling the script when testing again is faster.
VScode has a MicroPython extension with full debugging facilities that are better than Thonny but still use the latter to upload the py files.
Picos are reliable running 24/7. Also generate little heat so can be enclosed in small project boxes.
Best thing about them is procuring them through The PiHut.”
“The Pico W is great but I opted for the presoldered headers instead of doing it myself and have now fallen in to the problem of not being able to sandwich multiple boards and hats. Still using this and learning but will remember to buy the hight headers next time when the newer Pico 2 W comes out later this year.”
