“After an email alerting me regarding this product, I quickly went into the site, found it was in stock and ordered it there and then, then 1 day later visit turned up.
I found a micropython example of a simple server, enabling the onboard led to be turned off and on
All worked, so first impressions are very good.”
“Just purchased this but haven't had time to play with it yet. Hopefully, it will be as good as the original Pico. Was delivered the day after it was ordered.”
“The Pico W or PiCow is absolutely amazing. The wireless functionality is rock solid in my testing and I managed to get it to login in to my UniFi WiFi access point with no problems at all. And got a web server that could control a LED running in no time just by following the examples online. I see a lot of uses for these boards going forward. Looking forward to creating a lot of new projects with them. I soldered the header pins on myself so don't judge ThePiHut by the state of the soldering - they had nothing to do with it :-)”
“Still early days but shows promise. I've updated with every new build of MicroPython, hung several times at first but running ok now. C is working fine. Looking forward to seeing if there going to be any BT support but nothing unusual for a new product in the first few days. Looking forward to extending usage to a lot of other projects”
“Bought one of these anticipating them selling out immediately. It looks like it will be useful but not necessarily replace the original pico for low power tasks. 4 stars only at the moment as the firmware seems to be not quite there yet, WiFi support is a bit buggy and the Bluetooth hardware is there but not enabled yet.”
