The Pico is the latest microcontroller that I have had over many years and, possibly, the most useful. A choice of ways to program it is very helpful, I have used python for years and I have used the Arduino, in most of its formats, so I am OK with that. Wireless access is quick and easy to sort out, a webserver was my first test and that was very simple to get running. All in all a great bit of kit.

An amazingly powerful little device, and with wi-fi opens it up to a whole new world. I'll be using this one to control the lights and sound on a Book Nook, but considering this thing is capable of driving a VGA display and running DOOM it seems a bit underused. Great value for money, would recommend.

Brilliant little devices, cheap enough to order a few and have multiple projects on the go at the same time. Great for me as I'm setting a coding club up for my nephew.

Great little microcontroller. Have only used the micropython firmware at the moment but super straightforward so far. Just wish there would be easier access to the pico with headers but pi are trying their best.

I love this piece of hardware, low cost, powerful and with the added benefit of wifi opening it up to the world. As an old 8-bit video games programmer I'm really looking forward to seeing how much I can squeeze out of this microcontroller with C and Assembly. There's plenty of documentation to get stuck into. Would recommend.

Super RPI. The W is very handy if you want e.g. to switch on/off the thing on and you create the Pico as a webserver with an HTML page. The price is okay. I soldered pins on it for the breadboard. The Essential Raspberry Pi Pico Kit contains them.
