“Astounding - I thought the Raspberry Pi was relatively inexpensive but still too costly to justify building it into a project. I'm building the Pico into a model railway controller and so far it does everything I want, and I haven't even begun to explore the wireless capability. Very easy to set up and use. Service from Pi hut was prompt and easy.”
“A tiny, low-power microcontroller from the people who brought us the Raspberry Pi! Just be aware this *isn't* a regular Pi - there's no SD card slot, no video output and no way to connect to it using a keyboard! The whole point is to write microcode using Python or C/C++ (there are other options too, hi TinyGo!) that is sent to the Pico by USB, and once loaded it runs with full access to the Pico's wireless capabilities and GPIO interface, and the possibilities are near endless!”
