“Well, it's OK, but to be honest, I've used ATmega chips from 328s up to 1284s and they are better to work with and they can do so much more. OK, these are cheap, and they're probably aimed at the learner market, so OK for a starter, but I shan't be making any robots with them any time soon :)”
“The PICO is clearly an amazing little board. However this constant flashing of different uf2 files, the difference between Micro and Circuit python, and the questions that get raised are difficult to manage. Also, I am not a fan of Thonny, I think it's an awful IDE, and I prefer Atom, why do I need to use Thonny in order to use MicroPython?
Also, the PIO documentation is really difficult to follow. I think it's a great piece of tech but ultimately they are relying on the community to do a lot of leg work.”
“I have been experimenting with the pico since it arrived, mainly from YouTube videos. Gaining confidence to try things myself. So far so good. Very excited.”
“Excellent service from the Pi Hut - I received 2 pics within a few days and they both worked as expected. This is a very versatile device and very good value for money.”
