A simple thingy. Though programming on a MacBook can be a bit tricky for the first time. This board is a great replacement to basic Arduino boards, it has lot’s of memory and many IO pins. The only thing that this board lacks is the Qwiic connector. 5/5

With plenty of GPIO, analogue inputs (ADC), temperature sensor, programmable LED, a good selection of library functions and plenty of help online, the Pico packs some punch at the price. There are options to program in C or Python. Programmable I/O (PIO), interrupts and dual cores gives plenty to learn and to entertain the hobbyist. Below is my project which uses I2C light meters (Adafruit VEML7700 Lux Sensor) to check the car lights have been switched off.

I had a very smooth purchasing and delivery experience. I had been reading the hardware/silicon manuals/guides and realized how inexpensive these devices are for the features, I had to grab a few. My current goal is a my first SMP OS on this device. I will be looking forward to some "in-house" hardware debugging tools for sure.
