“Given the shortage of Pi4's I have taken to using these quite a lot. More powerful than you might think and the instant run on power up is perfect. Very cost effective.”
“It works fine, i've got mine to rickroll people when it's plugged into their PC, been having alot of fun with that, overall great product, it's really cheap, i'd recommend it”
“The Rasperry Pi Pico is probably the best hobbyist microcontroller at time of writing. If you are used to using Pro Micros or similar this is a worthwhile upgrade for most. As it is still quite early life some libraries and headers may be unavailable, but most use cases are already well documented with example code. The Pico is a great value way of accessing the powerful RP2040 chip, just be aware it is not USB-C.”
“The Pico is a brilliant microcontroller. It is great for remote projects and once it has a stable, debugged program installed, it really is 'fit and forget'. Switching power off, the on again next day has no effect on the program, unlike the pi 3 et al, where the SD card can easily become corrupted on sudden power loss.”
