“Excellent power supply, but can't help thinking the plethora of electric socket type adapters supplied is not necessary or friendly to the environment.”
“So you plug in whichever connector is correct for the country you are in, then plug that into the wall socket (can also fit to extension cables too), then plug it into the Raspberry Pi (3B, in my situation) and electricity at the right level flows through all the cables into the Raspberry Pi and makes it work.
