My Pi4 was runs 24/7 as a local web server and collects environmental data to send to Thingspeak every 30 minutes. It is headless with a small usb drive. The cpu and gpu temperatures were in excess of 85C. As usual, The Pi Hut quickly dispatched the fan. The fan was neat, small and well made with clear fitting instructions. Fitting was simple, open the case lid, attach the heat sink to the cpu, clip the fan casing into grooves in the case, fit the three wires onto the gpio and replace the lid. My Pi4 is now running below 65C. As this is below the default 70C setting (which can be altered) the fan does not come on. The heat sink is doing a magnificent job. So did I need a fan? Yes, for reassurance, the low cost of the device and it will probably be required during the summer. I did reduce the trigger setting to force the fan on to see if it was noisy. Quiet, quiet and quiet. Very pleased, as with all Raspberry Pi products and highly recommended.

Just get rid of the standard case and buy a flirc case or something with a passive heatsink The case fan is really loud and is either on or off using the default fan controls. Even using hardware PWM controller the fan is still noisy af

The original fan for the Pi4 was a tad noisy but The Hut changed those purchased for a better model. This fan is even better and sits nicely in the case to offer quiet cooling. Excellent.

A good fan but the lack of air ducts in the pi case means is just circulating hot air however it was easily fixed by drilling holes

Easy to fit. I did make a few holes in the fan case to facilitate air circulation No Instructions on how to enable the fan which I found in the Raspberry PI Configuration application. The Pi is in my loft which gets very hot so I set the Fan Temperature to 60. Added the CPU Temperature Monitor to the Panel and immediately saw the temperature max at 60 deg.

Nice small fan, fairly powerful if a bit noisy at maximum speed.
