“Came with included heatsink, seems to do a good job of keeping the Pi cool even under longer heavy workloads.
Make sure to set up in raspi-config, otherwise it'll stay on constantly!”
“Whilst the unit itself self controls heat by reducing power and performance as it reaches its upper threshold, the fan adds active cooling. It also enables fan control to activate the fan on my when reaching the threshold so the fan does not constantly run. Very cheap, very simple and very useful!”
“Got this as I thought the processor would benefit from some extra cooling. After 3 hours of listening to the high-pitched whine it generated, I decided to disconnect it. Hopefully the processor will be better with the heatsink that was provided with the case fan.”
