Bought this for my children to learn programming. They’d been playing around on Scratch and this seemed like a really good way to give them something of their own and bridge the gap between an online Scratch tutorial and a Udemy Python Bootcamp! They love it. The book is absolutely excellent too.

Excellent piece of kit. Using as a desktop. Recommend purchasing a usb dongle for audio and HDMI to HDMI for screens. Simple computing at its finest and backed up by great community support.

This is the easiest and most convenient pi to use yet, to just pick it up and try different operating systems is a joy and really brings back the feelings of the Amiga days.

As a relative newcomer to the Raspberry Pi family, having "messed around" with a pi3, I moved up to this one, the integrated Pi4. I have thoroughly enjoyed working through the projects in the enclosed book. The convenience of having "everything" inside the keyboard housing, cannot be exaggerated. Just having the usb-c power cord and the hdmi to my monitor keeps the desktop clutter to a minimum. The enclosed mouse was a bit of a let down, as my one was a bit "cantankerous", and has refused to work at all with the Pi4. (It works perfectly on my windows pc, so a kind of win) but as I have a Bluetooth mouse which I prefer anyway, I use that instead. The white and red colour scheme is also pleasant. So I am happy with that I have read a few comments regarding heat. That their Pi4 runs very hot, and for me, my one does not seem hot at all. Merely, warm to touch (underneath the keyboard housing), but nothing that I would call alarming. Would I recommend to a "noobie", definitely. Would I recommend to a "tinkerer"? Probably not. As many of the Io ports that are found on the unboxed version are missing from this one, as only the 40 pin interface is accessible. I have a short ribbon cable plugged into mine, running to a "breadboard" to mess around doing circuits and stuff. Pricing for me was a tad high, but I went for it, and so far, had no reason to feel robbed, in any way.
