“Incredible machine, having a Pi really gets the creative juices going so the 400 coming in such a sleek package is really plug and play. I recommend beginners like myself sticking with hdmi connections for screen options to start off as I’m meeting some hurdles with gpio, got the waveshare 3.2” lcd hat and it worked for a couple days but now it’s not and it’s a hassle to keep flashing a new OS image. DO NOT FLASH OVER THE 400’s OS!! It seems to be a really good midway between the latest and the previous OS release that supports gpio hat better. Get yourself a STACK of good SD’s for different OS’s so you don’t potentially wipe good progress on one. The 400 and I guess Pi in general have really re-marketed the “Personal Computer” as the sense of ownership is greater than what I’ve ever experienced before. This kit paired with Bluetooth mouse and speaker is really satisfying but expect Lofi sound quality. I have my eyes on the 7” hdmi lcd for my “cyberdeck” because honestly listening to YouTube and the radio with a wee screen plugged in the top of this was like a strangely phenomenal feeling.”

“idea starter computer use for piamiga 1.5 for amiga applications and ubuntu for other applications just swap micro sd cards over so really have two computers in one or three if using raspberry operating system. found ubuntu os has more applications than raspbeerry os”

“All you want in one package. Wonderful bit of kit at a super price. Total value for money The 4gb Pi400 is all you want. Plays retro games with ease. Linux and Office software that is comparable to MS Office. 2 and 5ghz wifi built in, along with ability to display 4k films. Suggest if you need a small home office that attaches to a tv or monitor via hdmi you get this computer kit. This setup will not disappoint. Plenty of items available to extend system even more.”

“I'd recommend the Raspberry Pi for everyone who wants to learn programming / physical computing. Awesome product for a very reasonable price. The Pi400 has a few disadvantages though. I'd rather buy a Pi4 with 8GB RAM now after I tried this. The Pi400 comes with 4GB RAM, and there is no option to choose the 8GB, which is a shame. For programming it is perfect though. The GPIO port could be on the side, it would be more useable. The keyboard is a disappointment for me, it misses characters, or writes doubles, making programming harder, sometimes even annoying. A Pi4 8GB with a quality mouse and keyboard could be a better choice. With these issues, the product is almost perfect, hence the 4 stars.”
