This is just amazing. The built-in keyboard takes me back to my childhood with an Amiga, and I love the clean Raspberry Pi OS. It seems great as a simple desktop replacement, and a recent update to the OS has made web video and audio nice and smooth. I don't like the direction Windows 11 is going in, so this is the perfect antidote!

Have been waiting yonks for one of these to become available again and the e-mail alerts paid off! Within under an hour I had my order placed. Arrived really promptly, a bit too promptly as I was still on holiday, but the Royal Mail Tracked parcel service is great and I received my nicely packaged package the day I got home. I've already acquired a 1TB SSD and USB to SATA cable to enable this to be a truly portable personal computer I can use where ever there's a TV (in the house, hotels, holiday home or round at friends or relatives) and having a keyboard built in means I can carry on learning Python anywhere! Such joy!

It wasn’t in stock when I first tried to order the Raspberry Pi 400, but I was notified as soon as it became available. I received the Pi 400 the day after I ordered it which is brilliant! This is my first foray into the world of Raspberry Pi and I am quite looking forwards to it. My main reason for purchasing a Pi 400 was to install Pimiga on it for amiga emulation, which I can gladly say was pretty much straight forward. The Raspberry Pi 400 worked perfectly straight out of the box with no issues and, everything that should have been included in the box was present and correct. There were no issues what so ever with the vendor "The PiHut" If only all of life's transactions could be as smooth and pleasant as this one! Thank you The PiHut

The pi 400 reminds me of the days when computers had built in keyboards. But nostalgia aside the pi 400 it a solid little device with a good laptop style keyboard. The kit itself is good value with nicely made official accessories, the power supply is a nice compact model and the mouse is a solid device. The only mystery is why the pi 400 doesn’t have full size hdmi ports, but the kit does come with a suitable lead. Finally the best inclusion is the book, it’s an excellent guide to using the pi. All in all I really like the kit, it’s a great start and one I have really enjoyed.

Works out of the box with little configuration. The SD card provided is a bit slow, so you may want to change it fast, but it's nothing I find too annoying.

I've never used Linux before but I was looking for a low cost computer to handle media for my tv, and the Pi 400 kit has been perfect! I got it set up with the Raspberry Pi OS installed and updated within an hour- a process that takes a day or two with windows- and was so happy that I didn't have to battle through legions of data settings to prevent my computer spying on me for once. I even got it to talk to my printer quickly, and there are devices I've never managed that on. Compared to Windows there is some learning to do as to how to make this and that work, but it's also so much easier to find well written explanations and guides online. The 400 is a tiny little marvel, and so light, but still feels like it could withstand a few accidental knocks to the floor (though don't make a habit of it). Of course it doesn't have the world's most luxurious keyboard, but it's perfectly servicable if you're not trying to write a novel on it. My O key was initially failing to register presses properly, but gently taking the keycap off and putting it back on again has fixed the problem. It boots in 30 seconds and stashes away easily in the tv table when I'm not using it, which is perfect. When I describe it to people as having a toy-like quality that isn't a knock against the capabilities of the machine, but me trying to express how it feels fun to even touch! The included power and hdmi cables are a good size for desktop use, but a little short for my setup, so I will upgrade them later. I picked up a 128GB sd card so as to have extra space, and have kept the included 16GB one for spare (or what I'm sure will be a future pi project!). The matching mouse is cute. The beginners guide book was very useful to me as a Pi first timer, and I'm going to try out the basic programming tutorials in it soon. I would definitely recommend the Pi 400 kit to other people who haven't done "computing" in any specialised way before. It is a friendly machine and the kit makes getting started as simple as possible. The Pi Hut posted it out to me very quicky, and I'm sure to come back to buy this and that in the future!
