“Excellent bit of kit, fast enough for running 3d printer with mainsail and klipper. Using the wired network connection giving a solid speedy link. Lower power than running the big old desktop and headless even more economic. Will try put a retropie at some point as a bonus use case!”
“A nice package to get you started. The built-in keyboard feels pretty good, and it's great to have a Pi 4 that's been officially overclocked to 1.8 GHz. I'm using mine for emulation, so having the built-in keyboard is handy for those times when you need to press a key on a C64 or Spectrum game :-)”
“It's good, and fast enough for anything other than using a web browser. The keyboard is unpleasant to type on if you're used to mechanical keyboards, but it's functional and feels a lot like those Mac keyboards.
The included book is useful in getting started, although there are a few spelling errors throughout it.
This would definitely be a great computer as a "my first computer" for a kid, if you want them to have a chance of learning proper computing. For the rest of us, it does what you'd expect for a Pi.
I'm using it as a Retropie install, with Kodi installed, and the desktop as a backup. Network mounting for ROMs and videos so I don't use up the paltry 16GB SD card included.”
