“What an amazing little machine, being built into a good quality and low profile keyboard makes the pi 400 amazing to use and to store, it takes me back to a more simple time.
Performance is great and with a small and safe overclock keeps cool and runs everything you can currently throw at it.”
“Excellent, easy to use and good value (compared to keyboard + case + Pi4). God's as either first Pi or general use Pi.
Big plus is keyboard operated power switch on/off). Also runs 30% father than standard Pi because of internal heat spreader.
Slight drawback is that expansion port has some limitations which means it can't be the only Pi if you want to experiment.
Would give 4.5 * or 5* if you have limited need for expansion.”
“Great machine. I intend to use the Pi 400 on the TV in my motorhome but in the meantime trying RISC-OS bringing back memories of the Acorn Archimedes. The children now in there 30's would love to see some of the old games they used to play running on it. Ubuntu runs well just like on my laptop and desktop. Will probably run that or Raspian in the end.”
“This was so easy to set up (plug in a screen and mouse, micro usb card and power). et access to the gpio ports. The keyboard is good to the touch, and the keys to turn it on and off are a great addition.”
“First I used mine to build a couple of memory cards. Then to write a few python scripts. Now it's running a large spreadsheet.
The Pi 400 is not my main computer, but it makes a great scratch pad for projects and odd jobs. I leave it on all the time and it wakes from sleep in a second, whenever I need to do a quick bit of work.
I also highly recommend the Pi Hut micro-HDMI to VGA adapter, which works great with it.”
