I've been using the Pi 400 for a while (4 weeks). I decided to try the new Ubuntu 20.04 on the Pi 400. Happy to report it works very well, it’s ideal for light computing tasks and programming with the GPIO header. This is now my go-to Pi for prototyping projects that I'll deploy to a dedicated Pi later. ThePiHut did a great job delivering the Pi 400 quickly and with regular updates. Very impressed!

I bought this as a package with the made-to-measure power supply, wireless mouse, NOOBS ready SD card and white HDMI cable so that it would be ready to go as soon as possible- which it was. I wanted a home for all my software only projects with enough processing power to make them usable. This fits the bill admirably. If I had to criticise, it would have been nice to have the touch screen interface made available on the back with the other interfaces.

As supplied would not boot from noobs or Raspberry Pi OS. I had to boot once from a Pi4, and then put this in the Pi 400. The Pi 400 would then boot, but no wifi only wired ethernet. After 3 weeks a firmware update fixed all the problems.

I have to say that I really do enjoy my Pi 400. Easy to set up and nice and compact. And overclocked. Awesome.

This thing is amazing. The form and functionality are almost perfect for daily personal use. If you are looking for a daily light computing device the Pi can pull its weight. Built into a keyboard gives you plenty of options for building your own custom computer/cyberdeck as well. The keyboard has a plastic case that feels robust, the design is pretty cool. I like the styling of the heat vents on the base. The connectivity is good, even by full size desktop standards. 3 USB ports, a USB-C power port, the 40-pin GPIO and 2x Micro HDMI outputs. It also has wireless connectivity for bluetooth devices. As always a versatile and well thought out device with a million uses!

Brilliant ! But kind of silly using mini hdmi and different type of power usb port , it's kind of backward and at odds with original design , even the com port is different , humm so yeah it needs to have RAM expansion yes keep the 2 mini HDMI's but it be nice if it had 2 large hdmi ports and a alternative regular power port . A clip on double height twin screen option with battery will be nice . Anyway once plugged in to 2 cheep SONY flat screens It's lovely and able to run 2 youtube videos simultaneously and with quite good playback, also plugged into OffOn.TV studio ATEM Mini works well, I need to taim the hdmi audio and refresh rate . but yeah I like it a lot I hope the next version will beef up the memory options and connectivity compatibility , thank god it has a normal ethernet port :) !! a headphone mic jack would also be a benefit too.

Very neat design. Only concern was the 5V supply and USB C power connector when the compute module 4 development board uses a higher voltage. Only issue I had was with bluetooth sound which has been fixed with software updates. As a side point I was very frustrated that the pi 4 didn't go out of form factor and put all the connectors on one side of the board. I bought Argon One box and felt the additional board could have been integrated into the pi 4 giving more space and better heat management and features. We keep having to change connectors and power supplies, 3 so far. The extra cost would have been a lot cheaper than the expense of the Argon One. I probably would have not bought the pi 400 if the pi 4 had been given a new form factor. In my mind it was a missed opportunity.
