“This was bought as a gift for my husband. As I am not particularly tech savvy I was advised by my brother in Australia about what I needed. My husband was really impressed with the item and is busy working on his project.”
“It seems to be fairly good - certainly good enough fr what most people would use it for. And certainly less cabling, no need to buy a case so that's a plus point.
One issue I found is that you can't connect 2 external drives to it at the same time unless one of them is powered externally. I had an SSD and an HDD connected. One of them started making a clicking noise so I disconnected thinking the drive was to blame. On connecting to another one I had the same issue. Finally found that it's the drive getting insufficient power. After connecting a power supply to a caddy and plugging that in there were no issues. I'd give it a 5 star if not for that issue.”
