“Someone was lazy designing this and just updated the pi3 version. Pi 4 runs MUCH hotter and enclosed in this case runs too hot if it's doing any work. Needs at least a few holes/slots for ventilation/heat escape”
“Nice snug case, I like the fact that it is only 2 part since I am not using the GPIO and prefer dust protection to accessibility. The Pi4 runs warmer than the 3B so I may want to upgrade to a case with a fan later.”
“Case cover gets warm even when Pi is idling. When heatsink arrives I will make some ventilation holes to cover or use case without cover.
Quality is good. Parts fits nicely with each other and it's easy to close and open.”
“Excellent (5 stars) quality of construction, however lack of access to GPIO pins and because the Pi4 seems to run hotter than my previous Pis more importantly the lack of any cooling vents means I will upgrade the case to a 3rd party one which can take a fan and heatsink once these become available.”
