“This case looks good and fits like a glove... but with no ventilation whatsoever it's essentially an oven for the Raspberry Pi.
My Pi idles at 65'C in this case and easily gets up to 75'C+ when working. The CPU starts to automatically throttle at 80'C and it's not good for components (e.g. SD card) to be that hot so regularly.
Just by leaving the lid off the case the temperature drops by 10'C, without using a fan or a heat sink. I'm therefore not sure why they didn't include any holes for ventilation on this case! (though of course you could always drill your own)”
“Great little case! I love the size and the colours. As a female I was looking for something feminine and this is great.
What I don't like is that:
- Does not have a power on/off button.
- Heats up quickly and there is no space for a ventilator (I have added heat sinks)
- When system is shut down there is still a red indicator light meaning it's always lit up even when it is not on
I love the size though but would not mind if it was a bit bigger to fit a fan and and on/off button.”
