The Pi 4 2GB is now the entry level full-fat Pi after most places stopped stocking the 1GB (it's the same price). It's an absolutely great board for development or small projects, thanks to the GPIO. Perfect for teaching yourself or your kids Python! Low power consumption and a ridiculously small form factor mean it can be mounted in a small enclosure and with the optional PoE hat, you can provide power and network with a single cable. My latest project is an ADS-B receiver for tracking aircraft - the Pi along with a FlightAware software defined radio are the perfect combination for this job.

The raspberry pi was shipped in a protective cardboard box and arrived quickly. However the Raspberry Pi board has flux remaining at the bottom and one of the USB 3.0 ports has a bad solder joint with too much solder.

Excellent. Much faster that the PI 3B.

Running this with an Allo DigiOne with Volumio on with 400GB internal storage as a music server. Brilliant, and took maybe 60 minutes to get up and running! (Took longer than that to copy my music across onto the internal SD card storage - note: do this over a wired network, not wireless!) Does run hot though, looking to rehouse in a larger, more aesthetically pleasing case, with a near silent fan to keep airflow. In the current case the internals hit 62C, which is OK, but I'd like to keep it lower.
