“Originally, I wanted to use the Pi3 A+ in gadget mode to use this as a webcam. However due to a design oversight in the Pi this is more complicated than I thought if not impossible. I hope they fix this with the Pi4 A+.”

“This is my first encounter with Raspby. So I started with low cost Pi 3A+, not wasting money for anything else. I used power supply from old printer with addition of DC/DC converter. It did not boot to GUI but only to bash. I have two used (no name) SD cards: 8 GB and 32 GB. Do everything by book. Formating, installing image with rpi-imager, nothing. With both of above SD cards errors were reported during booting . Finally I give up and buy new quality SD card. This time it went perfectly. Until to next problem, how to connect keyboard and mouse at the same time to one USB port. Again, I am using no name USB hub which works with notebook but not with RPI. It turned out that driver for this hub is not installed. So, I guess recompiling kernel will be the next step.”

“I haven't got very far with it yet but I have got it working with a GPS extention card without difficulty. The amount of support available on the web is fantastic - I should be able to sort any issues that arise in my project.”
