“Sure there are always lots of third party products available for the Pi lineup, but like with everything else, it's a gamble as to what you'll be getting. Fitment, functionality, and quality all always up for grabs.
With the official Pi Zero case you're worries are gone. The official Pi Zero case is well built, well designed, good quality, and most of all it's versatile and well thought out. It's also at a price that's appropriate to the budget of a Pi Zero purchase.
This is a nice, quality, good looking case with a really great versatile design. The multiple tops let you have a functional device for widely different uses without having extra, unused holes ruining the appearance.
Highly recommended. If you're buying a Pi Zero, throw one of these in your cart with it.”
“It is a really nice, good looking, well designed and made case.
The only issue (probably a design compromise) is that if you have soldered the GPIO header you can only use the lid with the GPIO cut-out - the other two won't fit.”
“I really like the construction of the case and, in particular, the fact that there isn't any hardware involved in assembly. You just pop it open, drop the board in with a little bump to snag it on to the posts then clip the cap on. It's fantastic and the "clicking" sound was supremely satisfying.
That being said, I had to figure out what the third lid was for on my own, the first two being a standard close-top lid and the second for the headers. The third, with it's weird bracket on the inside, is for a camera which took me accidentally clicking on a different link to discover.
