“The camera itself is very good. The crushed box and missing camera lens protective film gave me some concerns which were noted to pihut on receipt but I have had no acknowledgement of this.”
“I wanted the camera to try time lapse photography. Installation of the camera was easy - plenty of good guides available (I kinda like Geek Gurl). Although I have never programmed in Python before I did what I wanted quite quickly (thanks to http://www.raspberrypi.org/learning/python-picamera-setup/). I ran into problems with Unix trying to get the program to run automatically (got it to work but not at all elegant) and have just looked at my first series of photos, this morning's sunrise taken from an upstairs room between 4.00 and 6.00 this morning. Looking forward to further experiments and am already thinking of a portable battery pack and maybe plugging the pi into a cannibalised remote cable on my Canon EOS350D but that is for later. The potential unleashed is well worth the effort. Really satisfied with the camera.”
