“Using the raspberry pi 3 for retropie is perfect, or if you want to use raspbian or ubuntu mate for that matter, it works so good i actually have it as a extra desktop computer. And as a portable media player using osmc!”

“Ordered the Pi 3 the day it launched and unfortunately had to endure a slight delay -- due to the intense demand -- before it arrived in the mail. The Pi 3 is my first single-board computer and it will primarily be used as a prototyping tool for a project. For those looking for a small system for quick prototyping or general hardware/software tinkering, it's certainly one of the best, but it's worth noting that there are many competent alternatives to the Raspberry Pi on the single-board computer market nowadays (Odroid, Beaglebone, etc.) that one may take into consideration. Undoubtedly, the Raspberry Pi still has the greatest support of them all though.
Having unpacked the Pi 3, I loaded up the official Raspbian distro to a micro-SD card, plugged it into the Pi 3 and fired the unit up. All worked just fine from the getgo and hopefully for many years to come.”

The wifi which is built on is excellent and the speed from the pi is great for anyone one (beginner or intermediate). The service from the Pi Hut was excellent it came in the post quickly and there were no issues. A big thumbs up from me.”
