“The Raspberry Pi Zero W is a tiny computer suited to a myriad of projects but lacks the sturdiness required, especially if it is to be handled by the young or the unexperienced. The first RP Zero W I ordered had processor/board issues and kept spewing kernel error messages. After returning it, the replacement Pi sent arrived with the camera connector broken, due to poor packaging (rather thin jiffy bag) from the vendor.”
“I'm planning to use this for remote camera! BUT not sure which NOW? Either for a Cluster CAM! or as a Night-Sight on my Crosman Ratcatcher 2250 XL . .. ...”
“Very happy with it, converted a sound bar into an internet radio using Pi Musicbox OS, and with low voltage requirements I was able to use power from the amplifier module of the sound bar via a 12v - 5v step down transformer.
So now al I have to do is turn on the sound bar via the remote, wait a minute and music plays automatically, stations can be changed via my phone via wireless. And can shutdown via mobile app, and sound bar turns off after 2 minutes of no activity..
really happy that the Raspberry Pi Zero W was small enough to fit in the cavity space and work exactly as required.”
“How it is possible to make this let alone retail it for the selling price is amazing.
It is quite capable of doing far more than you could imagine for the price. It certainly isn't a toy and now with onboard WiFi too!
This is essentially for a Print Server for a mate, his wife and kids. I suspect it might also find use as a music streaming device too.”
